[...] I must confess, I am appalled at the lack of integrity in Uganda today. It’s extremely maddening that people will lie and cheat like they eat & breathe. Even kids now have no problem in cheating on their exams and copying each others courseworks. If there is a reason why Uganda’s progress has slowed and even seems to be reversing, it’s because of a great lack in integrity. Reputation means nothing to people anymore. Look at your global funds, GAVI, election fraud, massive corruption. I wrote about this last year here. [...]

I would want my money back!! Haa, now the madam no longer wants the bed? Convince her you do and get some people involved. S. King talked of Muloodi and henchmen...lol.

Anyway, yes it is indeed a challenge because we are surrounded by greed and dishonesty; Lord have mercy we may even be guilty of it.

But not all is lost, the good can still reign. It takes a little salt to give food flavour. That is why I thank God for those actively in the fight, peeps like my Minister, Nsaba; Orombi, Ssempa, Mwondha, Kagina etc...

We can only depend on Christ to help us. And I am sure He can.

Sorry about the bed. And sorry that I actually laughed a bit at your troubles. I'm having carpenter troubles of my own so I won't laugh too hard.

Hi Kizi,

Those are the woes of every Ugandan. I have come to understand that the terms honesty, loyalty, integrity, truth, have lost meaning in the Ugandan marketplace. This can only change when and if each one of us chooses to keep doing the right thing - even when it hurts.

I feel you man. I hope you get your money back if that guy can't deliver.

Greetings to your wife.

Dude!! The guy hasn't yet finished your bed??? Darn! And he told Miss Apprentice off?

Let's get Muloodi to inform his henchmen.

And integrity is a very tight thing to achieve, it's a constant uphill battle and it needs for you to have a strong conscience in the first place.

Not many people have a strong conscience that keeps them in check.
